Spencer’s Nook Second Annual 2009 Anchuca B & B Getaway ~ Nov.11- 15th This year’s project will be the second pool statue in the Anchuca pool area, “Winter”. It will be finished in an iron oxide finish and will sit on an aged brick column with a brick patio. This year’s scene will be a snow scene with a berry bush ground cover. The scene will be covered by a custom amethyst stained glass case, made by Lady Jane (Linda Young). Boxes will be provided that fit in overhead for those that fly. I will be accepting single as well as dual occupancy reservations. The cost of the 4 day event will be $670.00 per person which will include: 4 nights at a B & B, all food for Thursday morning through Sunday brunch, & the class project. For dual occupancy the cost will be $650.00 per person, sharing a queen size bed with private bath in each room. Husbands are welcome for a $550.00 fee plus their wife’s dual occupancy fee of $650.00. (The $550.00 will not include the kit). A wine reception will be held Thursday night. We have booked the Anchuca and Baer House B & B’s for extra room. Baer House is another lovely B & B and has a screened in porch upstairs and downstairs, it also has an elevator and a large courtyard for outdoor work on tables if so desired. I will be teaching the class at Baer House. The lunches will be delivered to Baer House and the dinners will be held at the Anchuca Garden room each night. The Baer House is within walking distance from the Anchuca B & B but car pooling will be available as well. Transportation to and from the Jackson Ms. Airport will not be provided this year. The airport is a 45 minute drive away from Vicksburg. I will be gathering info from all of the students that will be flying & with their approval, will share flight information with anyone that may wish to share car rentals/rides from the airport.
